The size of LMD4000 series is usually customized according to the machining requirements of the field conditions. Standard configurations include a 4000mm long X axis and an optional Y axis ranging in length 1000-3000mm.

It’s common applications include on-site milling flat steel frame structures, large scale motor bases, engine blocks, ship propellers, impellers, contoured machine parts, as well as critical mounting surfaces of various machinery in the oil and gas industry.

  • The standard cantilever length is 1000mm, 2000mm, 3000mm optional.
  • Spindle speed (R.P.M): 0-740 r/min stepless speed regulation.
  • Two types of spindle taper NT40 & NT50 are optional.
  • Standard equipped with 26KW 3 outputs hydraulic station power system.
  • Optional pneumatic power system with 3KW, 2.69 m3/min pneumatic motor.
  • The leveling of the main bed depends on tuning jacking screws and fixing bolts in each leveling foot.
  • The X axis feed system uses trapezoidal screw and a dual rack synchronous module.
  • The Y axis feed system uses a ball screw to achieve higher finishing accuracy.
  • The main bed can be fixed to the workpiece by welding or using a magnetic base.
  • Universal milling heads and carbide inserts, allowing you to purchase replacements locally.
  • A wide range of different parts and materials can be used thanks to the powerful hydraulic system.

PORTABLE DESIGN

The modular design allows it to switch between gantry milling mode and linear milling mode functions, the orbital, canteliver, spindle unit, and power system can be individually assembled to achieve optimal portability.

MAIN BED

X axis(Main bed) consist with:

  • 2 * 4000mm forged steel high-precision heavy-duty linear guide rail.
  • 2 * adjustable length guide rail connecting rod.
  • Dual gear box synchronous output system with adjustable length drive rod.
  • Standard equipped with trapezoid double rack for sychronous feed, ball screw feed optional.
  • There are two kinds of mounting bases available: standard base and magnetic base. 1. Standard base allows the machine to be welded or bolted to the workpiece. 2. Magnetic base allows the machine quick attached to the workpiece by magnetic force.
  • Quick installation kit.

CANTELIVER

Y axis(Cantilever) outfitted with:

  • Aluminum arm with optional standard length 1000mm, 1500mm, 2000mm, 3000mm to reduce the weight.
  • Double guide rails inserted into the aluminum arm.
  • Ball screw feed system, ensure Y-axis feed is more accurate, the end has manual, pneumatic and hydraulic interfaces.
  • Spindle head installation plate fixed in the guide rails.

Z axis(Milling spindle head):

  • Allows 90° and 180° degree installation.
  • Equiped with digital scale.
  • Optional milling spindle head NT40 or NT50.
  • NT40: Face Mill diameter 160mm.
